15 Dec Living at Westchester Tower with Greenbelt Park in Your Backyard
Location
When you live at Westchester Tower in Berwyn Heights, Maryland, you’re just steps away from the urban oasis known as Greenbelt Park. This 950-acre national park is located only 12 miles outside Washington, DC.

Things to Do at Greenbelt Park
After a long day at the office, there’s nothing better than getting back to nature. Park visitors and their dogs can enjoy several wooded trails at Greenbelt. The Azalea Trail is a 1.2-mile stroll, and the Perimeter Trail offers a heartier 5.3-mile trek. You can walk your horse on these trails as well.
Children can burn off some of their energy at two playgrounds in the park. Afterward, you can sit down for a meal at one of the park tables in three separate picnic areas.
Enjoy the Greenbelt Baseball Field to play some catch or a game if organized sports are your thing. There’s also a multi-purpose field where you play anything from touch football to soccer.
If you’re feeling adventurous, you can reserve one of the 172 campsites online and pitch a tent for the night. You’ll find hot showers, bathrooms, and even a dump station if you’re bringing your RV along. The campsites at Greenbelt Park are affordable and safe, staffed by National Park Service personnel.
Finally, animal lovers will appreciate the wide variety of creatures, big and small, inhabiting the park, including chipmunks, white-tailed deer, red foxes, and beavers.
Picture yourself living at Westchester Tower. Enjoy the comforts of home in Maryland with a national park right at your back door.
