Sun. August 1, 2021 6:30 & 8:30pm Livingston Taylor

This year, the Music Center is hosting outdoor concerts and events where people can stay socially distanced. The August lineup kicks off with pianist and guitar player Livingston Taylor, whose lifelong love of music started when he was 13 and picked up his first guitar. 

Livingston Taylor performs two concerts on the 1st of August and will be playing popular hits such as “I Will Be in Love with You” and “Boatman.” Fans love his warm, relaxed mannerism and classic melodies that combine various genres, including folk and jazz.  

Sat. August 7, 2021, 6:30 & 8:30pm Watkins Family Hour

The Watkins Family Hour was established almost twenty years ago by siblings Sean and Sara Watkins. The duo also formed a band and has recently released a debut album. The brother and sister are now on tour performing an inventive collection of music that they have co-written. This lively band contains a guitar, fiddle, and harmonies, which are sure to captivate their audience. 

Fri. August 13, 2021, 8pm America, 50th Anniversary Tour

The rock band America is playing at The Music Center in Strathmore as part of their 50th Anniversary tour. The band has been popular for decades and during this tour will prove that you’re never too old to rock. They’ll perform old favorites such as “Horse with No Name,” as well as their 1970’s hits “Sister Golden Hair”, and “Lonely People.” 

The legendary group consists of Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell, who are loved by generations of fans. These songwriters and guitarists have created many warm, uplifting songs that contain their unique mix of folk-rock.
